We are dedicated to providing the very best care and to maintain the health and well being of our Residents.
Residents where possible can retain their GP and have the same access to services as they would in their own home. Residents where necessary are visited in the Care Home by District Nurses, Dieticians, physiotherapists, McMillan nurses etc.
We are a small friendly Care Home so it is very easy to raise an issue or complaint. Issues that are raised are dealt with very quickly as the Care Team always want to get the care right.
Everyone knows and sees the manager and deputy so the opportunities to talk and discuss concerns are readily available.
We have been involved with Hawksbury House Care Home since 2006 when our mother, who was aged 92 decided along with her family that this move would be a good one for her, that her quality of life would be enhanced and we are proud to confirm that this was the case. Mum spent six very happy years at Hawksbury - she passed away in 2012. We were regular visitors to the Home during those years and witnessed the most superb care and attention to all residents. Each visit for us was enjoyable we were made to feel so welcome and became part of "a big family". The main thing was mum was happy and enjoying life.
Thank you sincerely for all the wonderful care and kindness that you gave to Mam while she was with you. Hawksbury House is a special place. From the very beginning we were welcomed into a warm and loving family and that feeling has never changed.
There is always a lovely smell of home cooking when we visit Hawksbury House - just what you'd expect to find in a real home.
Mum's passing was to leave a huge void in our lives, we had become part of the Hawksbury Family and were going to miss everyone so much - that filled us with sadness. Thankfully a solution was arrived at "Volunteering" and I have enjoyed seven years visiting and taking part in life at Hawksbury, helping out in various ways.
Thank you for the good team spirit and for being consistently good!
Our love of the home is based on the knowledge that Mum is getting the best care possible from a dedicated friendly staff which ultimately results in Mum's contentment.
We have always found the service to the residents at Hawksbury House to be of a very high standard.
To live in a care home where everyone knows your name and the staff know all your likes and dislikes is very special. It's the little things and the personal touch that makes the difference to me.
Hawksbury House is a warm welcoming and friendly home. They answer the door with a welcoming smile. The care of the residents is excellent and if there is something wrong with your relative you are told immediately.
The Staff are very caring and friendly. What you see is what you get. It is a highly recommended home. My Mother has been a resident here for three years
We do not currently have any cases of Coronavirus at our home. We are still open and able to safely help people move into our care home. However, in order to prioritise the safety and welfare of our residents and staff, our home is now temporarily closed for all visits, unless in exceptional circumstances. We continue to take guidance and advice from the Department of Health and Public Health England.
